RACE DETAILS

The Tour de Donut is a timed 34 mile race using Fleet Feet RFID Automated timing. The long race includes  two donut stops . A shorter 12 mile ride is available which is not timed and includes one donut stop. Free T-shirt with every registration prior to June 15. Free T-shirt with late registrations while supplies last.

Race Start
Race number pick-up opens at 7:00am with the mass start (competitive riders first, then recreational rider immediately thereafter) at 9:00am, to facilitate the prize/awards the race timing officially ends at 12:00/noon  and award ceremony at 12:30PM CDT.

Riding Safety

HELMETS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL RIDERS.MUST BE 13 to ride without an adult.Safety is always a big concern.  The local ambulance services provide wonderful support.

Terrain/Routes
The Tour de Donut route follows lightly traveled roads over rolling terrain.



Donut Stops
Riders can stop at two checkpoint
stations (donut stops). While donut
consumption is not mandatory,
the rider is awarded a five minute
time credit for EACH donut eaten.
Yum!!! A shorter ride is also
available which is not timed and
includes only 1 donut stop.

Start/Finish Line
Ride starts in Staunton City Park at the Corner of East Pennsylvania Street & Ash Street in Staunton, Il.

From the North: (Staunton is about 1 hour South of Springfield, IL)

SOUTH on I-55
EXIT 41
WEST on Main St.
RIGHT on Ash St. (just after RR tracks)

From the South: (Staunton is about 50 minutes North of St. Louis, MO)

NORTH on I-55

Friday Night Lodging
Free Camping available in the open field at the Start Line Park on Friday night. Showers available. No electrical hookups or reservations required.
