Welcome
OUR GOAL IS TO HAVE FUN!!!!
What can be more fun than riding and donuts! Come and strive for a personal best, or enjoy a nice ride in the country.
The "Tour de Donut" bicycle race is a spoof on the "Tour de France." The 34 mile route follows lightly traveled roads over rolling terrain with some moderate hills toward the end of the long route.
Riders can stop at two rest stops (donut stops) in Mt. Olive and Eagarville. While donut consumption is not mandatory, the rider is awarded a five (5) minute time credit for EACH donut eaten. A shorter ride is also available which is not timed and includes only 1 donut stop. YUM!!!
ABOUT US
The Tour was originated by the Mid-America Bicycle Club and was inherited by the McDonnell Douglas Employee Bicycle Club which shortly thereafter became the Boeing Employee Bicycle Club (St. Louis). The Tour de Donut is normally held on the 2nd Saturday of July - so that it occurs during the Tour de France. Due to the nature and popularity of the event, race day registration was discontinued many years ago. Registration has been via this web site, word-of-mouth and social media.
